Weekly honors – Kate Gordon was named CAA Player of the Week, and Megan Good earned CAA Pitcher of the Week. Odicci Alexander was named the National Player of the Week by several outlets. Last week was special for the Dukes.

Regular-season finish – JMU (41-7, 17-1 CAA) travels to Delaware (22-26, 7-11 CAA) for a three-game weekend series starting today at 11 a.m. The Blue Hens aren’t great, and the Dukes have a good chance of sweeping the series to improve its winning streak to 16 games.

CAA Tournament – It’s close, folks. The Dukes host the tournament beginning on May 8. That’s next Wednesday. The Selection Show for the NCAA Tournament is just a week from Sunday, and Regionals begin on May 17. We’re just weeks away from a thrilling finish to JMU softball’s season. According to Softball America’s latest bracketology, the Dukes are in prime position to earn a seed if they win out.
