JMU visits Allen E. Paulson Stadium on Saturday with Sun Belt East supremacy on the line. If the Dukes (5-1, 1-1 SBC) beat Georgia Southern (4-2, 2-0 SBC), they’ll lead the division. If they lose, they’ll trail the Eagles by two games and have a tiebreaker disadvantage.
Suffice to say, Saturday’s game is massive for both sides. Here’s how to watch the conference showdown.

JMU vs. Georgia Southern Start Time
Date: Oct. 19
Time: 4 p.m. ET
The Dukes will kick off at 4 p.m. against the Eagles in one of the biggest games of the season for both sides. The weather in Statesboro should be ideal, with Saturday’s high temperature forecast at 74 degrees. It’s expected to be a sunny day with a light breeze.
Betting Odds
JMU continues to be favored in games against its Group of Five peers. The Dukes are 9.5-point favorites over the Eagles on FanDuel.
The spread: JMU -9.5 on FanDuel
The total: 58.5 points
The moneyline: JMU -345, Georgia Southern +270
The Dukes are 4-2 against the spread this season. They failed to cover the spread — and to win the game — in their most recent road game, a 21-19 loss to ULM. The Dukes are hopeful they’ll be better prepared for a road environment this time around.
Georgia Southern is much better at home than on the road under head coach Clay Helton. The Eagles are 11-4 at home, but 5-12 in games outside of Statesboro.
