How to Watch JMU Football vs. Southern Miss on Oct. 26

It’s Homecoming in Harrisonburg this weekend, as JMU football (5-2, 1-2 SBC) will play host to Southern Miss (1-6, 0-3 SBC) on Saturday afternoon. The Dukes are massive betting favorites, with Southern Miss playing so badly that coach Will Hall was fired before this week’s game. The Golden Eagles aren’t very good.

JMU is expected to win Saturday, but the Dukes have shown no game is a guarantee in 2024.

What Channel is JMU-Southern Miss on?

Streaming: ESPN+

Saturday’s game isn’t on national TV, but the game can be streamed on ESPN+. Curt Dudley will handle play-by-play responsibilities with our guy Delvin Joyce working as the analyst. We’re excited for Delvin to broadcast the game. David Hulvey will be the sideline reporter.

Radio Details

The game can be found on the radio at WSVA 550 AM or 92.1 FM. The radio broadcast is also available online at WSVAonline.com or via The Varsity Network app.
Dave Riggert will work as the play-by-play voice, and Kelvin Azanama will be the analyst.

JMU vs. Southern Miss Start Time

Date: Oct. 26
Time: 3:30 p.m. ET

The Dukes will kick off at 3:30 p.m. against the Golden Eagles. The weather looks good in Harrisonburg, with a forecasted high temperature of 67 degrees. It’s expected to be partly cloudy with a slight breeze. It’s good football weather, especially for late October.

Fans should be in for an enjoyable Homecoming experience this fall.

Betting Odds

JMU continues to be favored against its Group of Five opponents.

The spread: JMU -24 on DraftKings
The total: 52.5 points
The moneyline: JMU -1650, Southern Miss +950

Losing to currently 5-1 ULM wasn’t a disaster. Losing to Georgia Southern wasn’t a disaster either. Losing to Southern Miss at home would absolutely be a disaster (don’t tell the folks mandating AP Style I said that) for JMU football. The Dukes can’t afford to lose to one of the worst teams in the Group of Five at home.

Look for Bob Chesney’s team to play well in a bounce-back spot before a bye week. A win secures bowl eligibility, and it keeps JMU in what’s becoming a chaotic and unpredictable Sun Belt East race. This game means a lot for JMU, it’s a perfect opportunity to dominate an opponent in front of a sellout crowd.
