JMU football announced Thursday that its 2024 spring game will be held on Saturday, April 20. The game will kick off inside Bridgeforth Stadium at 2:30 p.m., and the game is free for all attendees.
The game will offer fans a glimpse at what Bob Chesney’s first JMU team will look like, and it’ll be a drastically different group than 2023. After going 11-2 and finishing atop the Sun Belt East in 2023, many of the Dukes’ top contributors graduated or entered the transfer portal following Curt Cignetti’s move to Indiana.
JMU used a strong offseason in the transfer portal to add more than a dozen potential impact players, including Washington quarterback Dylan Morris. Exactly how the Dukes fit together remains a major question mark, but April’s spring game should start to provide fans with answers.
