James Madison is set to pay Washington State $200,000 to travel to Harrisonburg for the game scheduled for next season. This will be JMU’s first game against a Pac-12 opponent in program history.
JMU will pay Washington State $200,000 to come to Bridgeforth for the one off game, JMU Sports News learned after obtaining the memorandum of agreement between JMU and WSU through a FOIA request. The game is scheduled for November 22, 2025.
The Dukes, according to a report from Shane Mettlen of the DNR, were set to pay Utah State $300,000 for the 2025 contest at Bridgeforth. That game has since been canceled which opened up this date on the Dukes calendar.
The game has a $750,000 cancellation fee that has to be paid to the non-cancelling team.
The 2025 non conference for JMU is now officially set. The Dukes will host Tennessee Tech and Washington State and will travel to Louisville and Liberty in September.
