Tuesday wins over UVA – JMU fans made their way to Veterans Memorial Park on Tuesday evening to watch the Dukes beat the Cavaliers 14-3 and 3-1 in a doubleheader. The first game was a laugher, but the second game needed a Megan Good strikeout to stop a seventh-inning UVA rally. It was a good day for the Dukes, who picked up two wins to move to 38-7 overall.

The resume – With six games left in the regular season, the Dukes are in good position to earn a top-16 seed in the NCAA Tournament. JMU is 38-7 and 14-1 in the CAA, which is solid. Its RPI was 14th coming into this week, and the Dukes have a few marquee nonconference wins. In short, JMU is in position to earn a seed in the NCAA Tournament.

Up next – JMU hosts Drexel for a three-game series this weekend.
