Weekend summary – JMU (10-5) beat High Point 2-0 and 11-0 before falling to the Panthers 8-6 in the final game of the series. The Dukes looked solid in the first two games as they posted shutouts, but the stellar pitching didn’t carry over to the third game of the series.

Kevin Kelly dominates – The junior pitcher tossed eight scoreless innings and struck out 11 batters in the first game of the series. Kelly is 3-1 on the year with a 1.16 ERA and 28 strikeouts across 23 1/3 innings. He’s been remarkable.

Up next – The Dukes host Lehigh (4-5) on Tuesday and Wednesday before a difficult three-game road series with Cal State Fullerton (6-7).
