Lehigh wins – The Dukes (12-5) barely squeaked by the Mountain Hawks on Tuesday, winning 7-6 in 10 innings. JMU settled down Wednesday and earned a 10-1 win thanks to stellar pitching from Justin Showalter.

Keys to success – Our baseball contributor Nick Stevens believes JMU’s lineup, and not just its pitching, holds the key to the team’s long-term success.

A chance at program-developing wins – Cal State Fullerton (7-7) has a tremendous baseball reputation. It’s a strong program with a storied history, and the Dukes face the Titans for three games this weekend. Picking up any wins would be a step in the right direction for a young team. These are the types of wins that can help elevate JMU’s program. We’ll see how the Dukes respond to the test.
