How to Watch JMU Football vs. ULM on Oct. 5

JMU football (4-0) puts its undefeated record on the line Saturday night against ULM (3-1, 1-0 SBC). Can the Dukes open their Sun Belt season with a win?

That question will be answered on national TV, as the Dukes will play at ULM on an ESPN Network.

What Channel is JMU-ULM on?

TV channel: ESPNU

The Dukes will play on ESPNU, with Jay Alter handling play-by-play duties and Rocky Boiman serving as the analyst. The game is JMU’s third on national TV this season, as they opened the year on ESPNU and played UNC on the ACC Network. JMU’s two home games were both streamed on ESPN+.

JMU will play a home game on national TV next week against Coastal Carolina, with that Thursday night clash expected to air on ESPN2. That’s a massive opportunity for JMU to impress in front of a major audience, which could include College Football Playoff selection committee members.

Radio Details

The game can be found on the radio at WSVA 550 AM or 92.1 FM. The radio broadcast is also available online at WSVAonline.com or via The Varsity Network app.

Dave Riggert will work as the play-by-play voice, with former JMU punter Harry O’Kelly as the analyst. O’Kelly has kept close tabs on the Dukes since graduating, and he’s a fan-favorite.

JMU vs. ULM Start Time

Date: Oct. 5
Time: 7 p.m. ET

It’ll be hot Saturday in Louisiana, but weather shouldn’t be a major factor in the game. Saturday’s high temperature is 88 degrees, although it should be slightly cooler at kickoff. Wind isn’t expected to be a factor, and it should be a sunny day.

Betting Odds

Once again, JMU is a significant betting favorite over ULM.

The spread: JMU -17 on ESPN BET
The total: 48.5
The moneyline: JMU -800, ULM +550

JMU is 3-1 against the spread this season, with the Dukes a perfect 3-0 against FBS competition. Of note, the Dukes have scored 133 points the last two weeks, but the total suggests Saturday’s game with ULM could be more of a defensive battle. The Warhawks’ strength is their defense, which held Troy and UAB to a combined 15 points in ULM’s two games against G5 teams this fall.
