JMU is 10-1. The Dukes seem like a long shot to make the College Football Playoff, but they should at least have a decent bowl destination if they finish 12-1. Here’s what some experts project:
JMU vs. Kennesaw State in the New Orleans Bowl on Dec. 23
A week ago, PFSN had JMU playing Ole Miss in the College Football Playoff. Well, that’s changed dramatically after the committee ranked Tulane and not JMU last week. PFSN now has the Dukes playing a very fun CUSA team, although we’re guessing fans wouldn’t consider this matchup “very fun” aside from the game’s location.

Mark Schlabach: JMU vs. NC State in the Birmingham Bowl on Dec. 29
Kyle Bonagura: JMU vs. Boise State in the Frisco Bowl on Dec. 23
Back to Frisco, Texas?! Against Boise State?? That would be a full-circle moment for JMU fans, as the Dukes would go from FCS title game battles in Frisco to playing a G5 powerhouse.
The matchup with NC State would be an opportunity to add another recent ACC win to the collection.
Athlon Sports’ Steve Lassan
JMU vs. North Texas in the Boca Raton Bowl on Dec. 23.
We’re still cool with this. If JMU and North Texas both miss the College Football Playoff, it’d make for a nice postseason matchup.
CBS Sports’ Brad Crawford
JMU vs. Florida State in the Birmingham Bowl on Dec. 29.
Even with FSU down, this would be a significant opportunity to beat a major brand name. This would be a solid landing spot.
The Athletic’s Scott Dochterman
JMU vs. UConn in the Cure Bowl (Orlando, Florida) on Dec. 17
Same prediction as last week. UConn is a good team this year, and this would be competitive.

JMU vs. USF in the Cure Bowl in Orlando, Florida, on Dec. 17.
This game would rule. The Bulls are really good. JMU is really good. This would be a big one for the
