JMU Women’s Basketball 2026 Transfer Portal Tracker

After an NCAA Tournament appearance, JMU women’s basketball is hopeful to maintain its high standard during the 2026-27 season. That starts with a solid transfer portal class.

Here’s a closer look at the Dukes’ addition via the portal.

Transfer additions

JaQuoia Jones-Brown, G, 5’6, Long Beach State — The rising junior is a scorer, having dropped 17.6 points per game this past season. She’s joining the Dukes, according to On3. Jones-Brown adds to a backcourt that includes Zakiya Stephenson and Bree Robinson. The trio should form one of the Sun Belt’s most dynamic group of guards.

Trynce Taylor, F, 6’1, Kennesaw State — Another rising junior, Taylor adds notable depth in the post. She averaged a respectable 9.7 points and 6.5 rebounds per game this past season after missing the prior season with an ACL tear. She won’t be asked to be the Dukes’ leading scorer, but she gives them a scoring threat and reliable rebounder. She’ll be in the Dukes’ rotation and should only improve in her second full year off the ACL injury.

Trinity Moore, F, 6’0, Stephen F. Austin — The redshirt senior missed all of this past season and only played seven games as a sophomore, so she’s entering her sixth year of college hoops. In her most recent season in 2024-25, she averaged an impressive 11.9 points and 5.1 rebounds per game. Assuming she’s healthy, Moore is a nice frontcourt asset for the Dukes.

Transfer departures

Maddie Oliver, 6’0, G — The Massachusetts native appeared in five games but didn’t score this past season. She has three years of eligibility left.

Alonna Poole, 5’11, G — Poole is reportedly in the portal after not playing this past season.

Angela Williams, 6’0, G, UMBC — The guard/forward received reserve minutes the past two seasons, but she should take on a big role at UMBC.

Kylie Marshall, 5’11, G — The former SMU transfer might look elsewhere for her final season of eligibility. She’s a good player, but the Dukes return a loaded backcourt with no clear path to significant playing time.
