Bad hitting – The Dukes (7-4) couldn’t hit the ball over the weekend, scoring just one run over the three defeats. JMU fell 5-0, 11-1 and 1-0.

Tough matchup – Louisville was the better team. It wasn’t insane to think the Dukes could’ve stolen a game or two, but it’s hard to beat teams when you don’t score. A few runs in the first or third games of the weekend could’ve changed the attitude around the results of this series.

Up next – This week’s schedule is easier than playing Louisville. JMU hosts George Mason (6-3) Tuesday before facing High Point (4-5) at home over the weekend.
